Simple, but not easy, meditation is a practice that offers a shift in persepective. By becoming aware of one's own thoughts, emotions and reactions, space is created to be curious about what else could be true. It is through observation of the present moment, without attachment, that peaceful and potent transformation occurs.
I am grateful for my meditation teachers who offer their "being" with such grace that I can not help but be curious for myself. Thank you to Dan Cheney, Todd Williamson, Frank Coppieters, Ph.D, & Marie Manuchehri for sharing the gift of mindfulness.
My own eight year practice of meditation and mindfulness has inspired me to find ways of sharing its transformative benefits with others. This search has led me to curriculum training with Mindful Schools, who’s mission is to help lead the integration of mindfulness into education. Their in-school program has been taught to over 18,000 children in 53 schools since 2007 and continues to grow. If you are looking to start a meditation practice for yourself or for your school, work or family, please contact me for one-time or ongoing instruction. Find out more at mindfulschools.org
